Face and body tattoos with Berber symbols represented in many of these handmade Moroccan wool rugs.

Born in Morocco to a large family, a hybrid of North Morocco and Middle Atlas Berbers. My father cultivated a business selling rugs and antiques from the Atlas Regions.

As a child, he watched his mother, my Grandmother, weave carpets on her loom, that bore symbols that are represented in many of these designs.

Her face and body were tattooed with traditional symbols that reflected herself and her life experience, these symbols would be woven into her carpets, creating art and beauty, abundant with her presence.

Growing up, our home bustled with people from across the globe in search of treasures to decorate their homes.

Traditionally Moroccans are known for their hospitality and we would often have these clients in our home for a festive meal.

I reveled in meeting people from all over the world and witnessing their adoration of the things that surrounded us in everyday life.

Gramercy & New York City historic landmarks and architecture.

After graduating from The Zicklin School of Business in Gramercy area of New York City, a historical district defined by the meticulously planned, uniquely designed architecture and the calm, elegant living style in the midst of bustling Manhattan, my heart called me back to my roots. I decided to continue my father's spirited adventure in collecting storied and beautiful things and honor the work of my Grandmother.
